3D Scanning Technician

The Role
Scans & Plans is seeking a detail-oriented 3D Scanning Technician to capture high-fidelity digital twins of residential and commercial properties. You will be responsible for driving to project sites and using high-end scanning hardware to document buildings before and during the construction process.
This is a perfect role for an undergraduate or graduate student looking for meaningful, flexible work that utilizes a background in technology or construction services.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Scanning
Drive to various client locations to perform full 3D scans of homes and small commercial buildings.
Tech Management
Operate the Matterport Pro3 camera and mobile app to ensure 100% coverage and high-quality data capture.
Project Coordination
Maintain a personal schedule that syncs with our central scheduling calendar to ensure timely project completion.
Professional Representation
Serve as the face of Scans & Plans on-site, maintaining a high level of professionalism and clear communication with clients.
What We Are Looking For
The Right Heart

Technical Familiarity
Prior experience as a photographer or A/V technician is highly valued.
Reliability
You must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to manage your own transit to various sites.
Adaptability
Ability to learn the Matterport ecosystem quickly — we provide all equipment and training.
Scheduling
A flexible schedule that allows for weekday site visits.
